SeeYou

Why?
The app was designed with the desire to help fulfill simple needs such as going shopping, visiting the post office, ANAF (the tax office), as well as attending concerts, shows, exhibitions, and more.

What does it do?
SeeYou aims to make the city a more inclusive place for everyone and to break the vicious cycle present in today’s society. People with visual impairments often face (self-)isolation due to an unfriendly built environment and societal attitudes, while society and infrastructure don’t change because the needs of visually impaired individuals are not acknowledged.
SeeYou is an inclusive app—users were involved in its development, we listened to them, and we learned about their specific and diverse needs.

How does it work?
Beneficiaries can send an invitation for companionship for an offline activity (visiting a public institution, going to the supermarket, a walk in the park, traveling by train) or an online activity (conversations, reading documents, assistance with making educational materials accessible). Guides receive notifications and can accept the invitation. The app then automatically connects a beneficiary with a guide, granting them access to each other's phone numbers to arrange the meeting details as needed.

Who?
SeeYou is a project developed by AMAIS, the Association of Alternative Methods for Social Integration. Since 2015, we’ve been building a society based on empathy, inclusion, and diversity. Learn more about us at [www.amais.ro](https://www.amais.ro).

Where?
For now, the SeeYou app is available in Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca. We will expand to other cities over time.
