Spine

Spine is a service software designed for pilots. Our support for professional and private pilots using Spine is formal. It has real-time notifications and messages from the National Air Traffic Services. You can find suitable flight routes via settings in the Spine app. Based on location, the app allows you to see flight routes around you at different scales. The functional interface of the app is very clear, so that even novice pilots can find help with the software.

Spine content:

- Spine stands for "Intelligent NOTAM Editor for Soaring Pilots". As the name suggests, Spine is primarily aimed at glider pilots, but can also be used by private GA pilots.

- The settings can be changed to filter NOTAMs for gliders, GA VFR or GA IFR.

- Spine is a popular product, available for PC since 2004 and now ported to Android.

- NOTAMs are "Notices to Airmen" issued by the National Air Traffic Service (NATS) that contain warnings to pilots about short-term hazards that may affect aviation safety.

Spine function:

- Spine helps you edit NOTAMs and discard irrelevant NOTAMs, as well as classifying the output into usable forms. You can also limit the output to a specific area, for example by setting a maximum distance from your home airport.

- Currently, due to the availability of source information, the program is only available in the UK.

- NOTAMs downloaded from the Internet contain a lot of irrelevant information, especially for glider pilots. They are also usually not sorted in a convenient order.
